Schedule

We are here for your hearing needs.

What to expect at Your First Appointment

When you come in for your first appointment, you can feel confident your hearing health is in the best care possible. Our goal is to help you hear and communicate better, and we will do whatever we can to help you. We encourage you to bring a spouse or family member with you to your appointment. Hearing loss doesn’t only affect you, it affects the people closest to you as well. Bringing a loved one with you allows us to ask them some questions and help them understand better ways to communicate with you. When you come in for your appointment we will have you fill out some paperwork asking you about your health and history. You won’t wait long before our audiologist, Debra, greets you and brings you back for your appointment.
We will begin with a conversation to get to know you. We will ask you about your hearing, your health history, and about any hearing aids (if any) you have worn in the past.
After discussing your general hearing ability and health, we will talk about how we can assist you with your communication.
If you already had your hearing tested by an ENT or other professional, we will go over your audiogram, or if needed, we will test your hearing in office.
After determining your degree of hearing loss we then discuss options for hearing aids and what you can comfortably afford.
If we feel that you are not ready or will not benefit from hearing aids, we will counsel you about your options.
